About the White Guide
White Guide is the leading restaurant guide in the Nordic countries. The Swedish version has been published yearly since 2005. Every year around 800 restaurants are tested, of which 600 receive a place in the Guide. In 2013 White Guide Café was launched, containing the 250-300 best cafés in Sweden ranked according to quality of coffee and pastries. 2013 was also the first year for White Guide Denmark. As of 2014 an international version, White Guide Nordic, is published in English. It contains reviews of the 300 best restaurants in Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, Greenland, the Faroe Islands and Estonia. All of these guides are included in this app, as well as on our website.
White Guide is now the authoritative guide and driving force behind continuing development of both gastronomy and restaurant culture in the Nordics. The key is thorough, high-quality reviews with a personal touch, done with transparent evaluation criteria and complete journalistic integrity. All of White Guide’s tests are done anonymously, bookings under pseudonym and the check paid without exception. When it comes to restaurants we reward personality, innovation, sustainability and ambience above all. We report on the latest restaurant news, as well as trends minor and major. These are available in our digital channels as well as in our quarterly magazine White PAPER, with exclusive stories and commentary.
